The teaching assignments that teachers get early on are really bizzare but sometimes you just take what you can get.

    I wonder if Pierre Burton's The National Dream is still relevant for Social Studies

    I wouldn't doubt it. If I ever teach Social Studies I'd show Mel Brooks History of the World.
